I have been a patient of Dr. Billauer's since August 2004. I was referred
by a long time friend, Yvette Boston, who had experienced
great results from Dr. Billauer's care. She tried several times to get
me to call and make an appointment, but something always stood in the
way. One day she called and said that Dr. Billauer was having a special
and that it was only $4 dollars for the exam and that I had no excuse.
Well, I surely could not say that I didn't have enough money!
I made the
appointment with Mary and the rest is history. I remember
my first visit. I was sitting there waiting to be called and all of a
sudden I just got overwhelmed. My eyes welled up with tears. I knew then
that I was in the right place and that it was God's will for me to be
there. I had been told previously that there was nothing that could be
done for me except surgery. I was Thankful because Dr. Billauer said
that he could help me. I had been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease
in my lower lumbar area of my spine several years prior. I just figured
that I would always have to deal with the intolerable pain that it caused
if I wasn't going to have surgery (and I wasn't) and that there was nothing
that would help my condition. Well I stand corrected!
Dr. Billauer told
me that I had 20 subluxations out of 24. I was in bad shape, but with
God's healing power and some commitment from me I could be healed. Within
a few short months I was feeling so much better. I constantly suffered
with non stop pain in my lower back. Simple housework (dishwashing, vacuuming,
etc) was dreadful to complete. I was constantly taking pain relievers
to help me make it through each day. My menstrual cycle was also a horrible
ordeal each month. There were days were I could not get up out of bed
because of the pain and stiffness in my back. Now, the effects are so
minimal that I don't even know when it is going to start. I have not
been stricken with the quarterly colds that I used to catch. It was nothing
for me to get terribly sick 3 to 4 times out of every year and lose several
days of work because of it.
I have also lost about 30 lbs by learning
how to make better food choices and applying them to my daily meals.
A couple of months ago I couldn't move or twist my left hand or wrist.
I went to Emergency for them only to tell me that I probably had carpel
tunnel or an acute sprain. They didn't know. They were truly guessing.
Dr. 'B' took off the ace bandages and through the
splint in the trash! He said, "You won't be needing this". Within two
visits & two adjustments, my hand was back to normal! Amazing huh?
Well, it's true. Next time I will call him first that's for
sure.
Being treated at Billauer Family Chiropractic has helped me in so many
ways, that I simply cannot remember them all! I Thank God for using Dr.
Mike & Dr. Carr and supplying them with the Knowledge and Wisdom
for the good of his patients. I appreciate and love the warm
and caring staff. I have always felt like a part of the family.
I
hope that this testimony will be an inspiring blessing to
anyone who is considering chiropractic treatment. The rumors that you
might have heard about chiropractic care are definitely NOT TRUE!
