Retirement is supposed to be a time for relaxation and being able to
do all the pleasant things that one works for all their life,
but headaches were making me so miserable that it wasn't any fun at all.
It became a vicious cycle of sleepless nights, many pain killers and
an inability to function daily.
I was not a stranger to chiropractic since
I had undergone treatment while living in Illinois in the late 1970's.
There I had suffered from migraine headaches. I had gone from doctor
to doctor and swallowed every kind of pill prescribed with no success.
One Sunday a chiropractor who belonged to our church suggested I try
some treatment. I had nothing to lose so decided to give it a try. After
a few treatments I started feeling my old self again. It was wonderful
to be pain free.
Several
years have gone by since the 70's and again headaches began sneaking
back into my life. They were not what I would consider migraines but
they kept getting worse and I found myself back in the same old cycle.
Why didn't I go immediately to a chiropractor? I don't know.
Finally, I decided it was time to try chiropractic again. The doctor
started with treatments 3 times a week, graduating down to
once a week. After only a month of treatments, I am again able to start
enjoying my retirement. I would urge anyone suffering in pain to give
chiropractic a chance to get your life back on track.
