Dr.
Craig French Durham, NC
My Vision was Back!
My name is Lisa-Marie and I am a skeptic.
For over a year, I have been working with chiropractors,
physical therapists, physicians and massage therapists to help me overcome
the pain I have in my left hip, which has been coined a Sacroilliac strain.
The
pain stops me from most of my favorite activities. rollerblading,
long distance walking, as well as many others. My hip locks
up and makes it difficult to bend and basically gnaws at me
constantly. A friend of mine recommended Dr. French to me
because of a "new technique" that
he uses called the B.E.S.T. technique. Well, okay, I thought
I'd try just about anything.
So.SKEPTICALLY, I saw Dr. French for and exam, and he pointed out to
me that I had MANY more problems than what was immediately ailing me.
I agreed to one session. Maybe one month. I figured that if he was truly
doing something different, I could make a decision on weather to stick
it out or walk away disappointed as I had done so many times(and truly,
I expected to walk away disappointed.again.)
But somewhere between my
first and fourth treatment, a funny thing happened I found out why I
have my prolonged hip pain and many other "issues" that
Dr. French had pointed out to me. On July 23 of this year,
I was diagnosed with MS after losing the vision in my right
eye to optic neuritis.
FYI.optic neuritis causes a temporary vision loss,
and MS symptoms most of the time go away over the course of
about 6 months. I was told by the finest neurologists in Pittsburgh
that I could expect to see a full to almost full recovery within a half
a year.
My vision was back 60% after one month and over 90% after 2
months. When I had mentioned to Dr. French that I "kind of wondered" if
his techniques have helped me to recover so quickly, he chuckled
and said, "I know so."
And you know what? A few weeks ago a friend of
mine was reading an article called MS LIFE in New Mobility magazine
which reviewed a case of a 47 year-old woman during a 2 year period
when she had MS. "After 4 weeks
of chiropractic treatment, her symptoms DISAPPEARED and after
2 years she developed no new brain lesions." (By the way, I take weekly
injections to get these results medically.) (And if you want
the scoop on the brain lesions, it's essentially what causes the disability.
You can go to www.nmss.org to
learn more if you want to.)
Well, as a no-brainer, Dr. French
is now on my calendar twice a week until 2050, and we'll see
what happens. And as for my hip thing, no lie, the pain is still there
but it's much more tolerable now and I have better ways to cope with
it.
So a few months after my first encounter with this office, I can
say that I KNOW that Dr. French's Chiropractic works, that I KNOW I
am going to see progressive improvements in my pain, and I KNOW that
I have been touched by one of the best doctors around.
