Drs. Beverly and Ramsey Gordon or Phoenix, AZ
In the fall of 2000 my then 7 year old daughter was diagnosed
as having ADHD, OCD and an Anxiety Disorder. This was preceded by years
of extreme difficulty in school with attention difficulties, compulsive
acts and building relationships with other children. She was diagnosed
by Doctors at the world renowned Melmed Center in Phoenix Arizona. A Pediatric
Psychiatrist at the center made the diagnosis and prescribed Ritalin and
Prozac in fairly high amounts. This drug therapy seemed to help Ashley
do better in school even though in the evenings she was rather lethargic,
and had a tough time doing her homework.
In August of 2002 while I was teaching
a swim class for parents and their toddlers, Dr Ramsey Gordon overheard
me speaking to another parent how "lucky" I was finding the Melmed Center and how this "great Doctor" dialed
my daughter in on the best drugs, and how she was doing so
much better in school. He quietly approached me after class
and asked if he could see Ashley and help her not only get off the drugs,
but eliminate the symptoms as well. This seemed too good to be true but
as a parent, I would try almost anything to get my daughter off those horrible
drugs.
My daughter and I started getting adjusted on September 19 th 2002.
Approximately 2 weeks later I received a note sent home from
my daughter's teacher. Knowing that letters sent home from the teacher
was never a good thing I was a little apprehensive about opening it. The
beginning of the note however started like this. "What Happened?....." The
rest of the note went on to say how she noticed Ashley was much calmer
and more focused in class.
She asked me If Ashley had a change in medications
and if so, she was doing much better. After reading this
letter I put my daughter in the car and drove straight to Dr.
Ramsey's office. I had Ashley show the letter to him and he smiled and
gave her a hug. I then thanked him and hugged him as well. He then confidently
suggested to me it was time to start getting her off the drugs. Three months
later my daughter was completely symptom free and drug free.
During the
next 3 years under regular chiropractic care I watched my own
health improve in numerous ways. Most importantly hundreds of people shared
with me how the health of their families had improved through regular chiropractic
care. In April of 2005 I decided to join in what I felt was
a revolution. A revolution of TRUE Health Care which didn't involve drugs
or surgeries. At 41 years old I changed my career and became a Chiropractor.
Not a Doctor of Chiropractic, yet still a Chiropractor. I am now helping
to save thousands of lives each year by changing the hearts and minds of
my community. What better way to serve God, my community and my family.
