My Chiropractic Story
What is a feeling of well being? I never knew what
it was to feel completely healthy, well, to wake up each morning and
enjoy a since of well being. For years I have been "not well." During
my childhood years I had a history of anemia, minor scratches,
insect bites that would not heal. As I progressed into adolescent, it
was migraines, severe migraines for years. Those headaches finally stopped
and as I progress into adulthood I was left with feeling weary, tire
all the time. In classes I would fall asleep, no energy, lack of concentration.
In my 20s I began wearing glasses, astigmatism I was informed in my vision.
Over the past five years I have been diagnosed with hypertension,
diabetes, hyperlipidemia. Last year I injured by heel and was basically
limping all the time, always in pain.
Now the good story begins. I came
t see Dr. Joe because my daughter suggested it. She observed my pain,
my poor posture, my sense of ill being. I was not a skeptic of chiropractic
intervention, only misinformed. The very first time I came to Shoreline
and had an adjustment, I felt ill, even to the point of nausea.
There were few days of well being but as I returned week after week there
were major changes. I discontinued one medication because my body sensed
it did not need it. I took less of other medications. I had my physical
in April 06 with my regular medical doctor.
The results were
not surprising to me. My cholesterol was within normal limits and I informed
my physician that I had stopped taking my cholesterol pills.
My glucose levels were down and I further informed my physician that
I was taking only half the dose. I had my vision checked as I do every
year and the results were surprising to me. The astigmatism that I had
for decades was gone. I asked my physician how did this happen and all
he could tell me is that my eye had resolved the problem. As for my heel
injury, during the past month I saw a podiatrist who only supplied me
with a foot splint when sleeping and exercises.
This past week I was
walking down the stairs in my home and called out to my husband. What
is the matter he said? I told him that I am walking down these stairs
without pain. But I feel the problem resolved itself because of Dr. Rodriguez.
With the exercise instructions he gave to me and my visits
to Shoreline and his prayers over me, I truly feel the wellness I feel
now came from him.
As I wake up each morning, I may feel "physically tired from the
previous days' work hours, but I am not feeling "physically ill" anymore.
Thank you Dr. Rodriguez and also Dr. Ditto.
