Name: Edwin F
My physical health is good, but do to
strenuous farm work in the '50's
I have had a problem with a pain between my shoulders. The
pain was not constant, but brought on by bad posture or work
related strains. I was worrisome so I went to two different orthopedic
doctors at different times and after twisting and bending various parts
which gave no relief They both come to the conclusion that one leg was
shorter that the other but did not agree a to which leg. The recommendation
was to put wedges in my shoes to compensate for the misalignment. This
was no help. The only solution was to live with intermittent pain. The
biggest problem was a pressure sensitive spot in my vertebrae with hurt
as I worked over instruments
The present day problem happened this winter
when I lost the use of my right arm. The pain was from the
shoulder to the top of my fingers. I carried my arm in a sling. The weight
of the arm on the shoulder was very painful. My wife, Mary, being familiar
with the medical profession knew that the MD's solution would be injections
of cortisones and physical therapy so we were looking for
an alternate solution. Providentially we received in the mail advertisement
from Dr. Wingets office, Raleigh specific chiropractic.
After my experience
with the osteopaths in 1950, I was skeptic, but down to the
office I went. As of this day, my right arm is fully functional
with no pain. I have joined a gym, do the weight routines
and best of all now, I can swim. The pain in the back is still apparent
at times but to a lesser degree. My posture has improved. Chiropractic
care not only restored the arm but improved the entire body.
Thank you
Dr. Winget, for changing a skeptic to a believer of chiropractic.
