Drs. James and Jill Winget Raleigh, NC
Name: Taylor B
Major Complaint: Knee Pain, Carpal Tunnel
Syndrome, and Migraines
I happened to catch "Half Hour to Health" one
Sunday morning since I'm not one to watch infomercials; it
struck me that I sat there spellbound. I called and came in for an adjustment/
evaluation. I found out I had a lot to learn. I had knee pain,
symptoms of bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome and plantar fascitis, but
no real back pain. I was skeptical that chiropractic care would have
any benefit for me. When dr. Winget went over my x-rays and I had a
reverse curve in my neck, I decided to make the commitment.
Before my
care I never really received any previous care for my symptoms.
I am pretty stubborn and I refused to believe that at 35 I was developing
conditions that I associated with old age. I had asked my
doctor about the carpal tunnel and plantar fascitis because
they were bothersome, but he had little to offer except a brace. I also
have migraine headaches for which he gave me a combination of medications
that at times included a narcotic.
I am almost six weeks into this care
program and the middle finger of my left hand, which was numb from carpal
tunnel syndrome, is normal again. I have no symptoms in my hands and
wrists. The plantar fascitis that I had for over a year and felt like
and excruciating bruise on the bottom of my heal was completely resolved.
I have not had any migraine headaches!! I feel myself checking and correcting
my posture throughout the day when I am sitting, standing and even reclining.
My knees are honestly improving, but slowly. I know I have a long ways
to go, but I realize just hoe important adjusting and maintaining my
spine is to my overall health and well being. Many thanks to both Drs.
Winget.
