Chiropractors / spinal specialists australia

How Chiropractic Has Helped Me
I first came
to see Dr Yildrim as I was suffering from severe lower back
pain. At the time I was working as a Sales Assistant and I
found it very painful to stand for long periods of time. I
also had difficulty getting out of bed some mornings and at
times could not stand upright due to the pain. I went to see
my local GP and was told that there was not a lot that could
be done apart from trying to rest. However, after weeks of
complaining, my mother's friend told her about a great chiropractor
in Wanneroo so I made an appointment for an assessment. At
that point in time I had no idea what chiropractors actually
did. I had heard from various people that they 'crack
backs' but that was about the extent of it. I also thought
that it would be a one-off appointment where I would have
my 'back cracked' and that would be the end of it.
During my
initial assessment I was asked a variety of questions about
my health that I thought had nothing to do with my spine. However,
as I was to find out, they had everything to do with it! X-rays
of my spine showed that I had several subluxations - a
term I had never heard of before. Dr Yildrim explained to
me that these subluxations were not only causing the pain
in my lower back but were also pressing on nerves which control
my organs and muscles.
After attending my first information
session I was astounded to discover the effects of subluxations.
I was also amazed that back pain was not the only symptom.
I began to think of other symptoms that Dr Yildrim discussed
which applied to me such as hay fever, headaches and muscle
dysfunction. For years I had a problem with the muscles in
my arms. My hands would often shake and at times I had difficulty
holding on to objects.
My parents had taken me to see several
specialists who thought it was nothing other than 'writer's
cramp'. I had undergone several years of laser therapy but
the condition never improved. I knew myself that it was not
writer's cramp as I suffered the condition in both arms and
only wrote with my right. However it did not seem like there
was any other treatment so I learnt to live with it.
At the
beginning of my treatment I was required to attend the clinic
three times a week. At the time I thought this was a bit excessive
but as I began to see the results and the long way I had to
go I placed my trust in Dr Yildrim and decided to do whatever
it would take to save my spine from further degeneration. I
began to see an improvement in my back pain straight away.
My movement was not as restricted and I did not have pain standing
for long periods of time.
After a year of treatment there was
a dramatic improvement with the muscles in my arms. My hands
no longer shook and I had no problems holding on to things.
I also noticed that my headaches decreased in frequency. I
have now been seeing Dr Yildrim for over three years and have
noticed a dramatic improvement in my health. I now attend once
a week and am focusing on improving my neck curve.
I had always
noticed in photographs that my neck 'stuck out'
but once again I thought it was something I had to live with.
However after months of tractioning exercises and regular
adjustments I am starting to notice an improvement. Wanneroo
Family Chiropractic has not only educated me on the importance
of spinal care but has also assisted me with other areas of
my health. Through attending the information sessions I have
seen how exercise, diet and emotional wellbeing all link in
together and are fundamental in attaining overall good health.
I
now tell family, friends and work colleagues about the benefits
of chiropractic and try to inform them as to how subluxations
can affect their health. Visiting Wanneroo Family Chiropractic
was one of the best decisions I ever made and I only wish that
I had known earlier about chiropractic care. The staff are
highly professional, friendly, and are passionate about improving
the health of all their patients.
I give my permission for this
story to be used for publicity about chiropractic care.
