Persistent Crying and Breath Holding In Infants
Breath Holding in Children Chiropractic Considerations
The following paper discusses breath-holding
spells (BHS) and defines them as dramatic, involuntary episodes
that occur in otherwise healthy children. Although they do
not know why healthy children have these episodes, they do
relate some breath holding with autonomic nervous system
dysfunction.

There are several reasons why infants
may have inconsolable crying. The most common are:
1- Colic
2- Trauma
from birth - particullarly undiagnosed broken
bones and/ or injury to their spines and cranium causing
torsion and stress to their central nervous system.
3- Vaccine Reaction also
affecting their central nervous systems.
Irritation to the nervous system,
which causes the response of persistent crying, has been
helped with specific chiropractic and cranial care-- howver,
prevention is the key!!
Parents: Become informed about your birth options and choose your care provider
wisely. Additionally read up on all suggested drugs, vaccines for the mother
in pregnancy, and your new born.
