My husband Chuck was the first one to come
in. He met Dr. Dodd at the Family Christian bookstore. I've been a better
patient than he has! I started coming a few months after he did. What's
ironic is that my pain started right around the time that Chuck started
coming here and then I wanted to begin care. My knees had pain around the
ball. The pain in my back was dull and got really bad to where I couldn't
walk. I couldn't walk through a department store, go grocery shopping,
etc. I also suffered
with severe allergies. I'd go through 2/3 boxes of Kleenex
a week at home. Plus I had some at work.
Before Chuck was a
patient here, I had already heard about chiropractic. I had
a friend that was a chiropractor. He used to talk about how he'd adjust
his newborn children right in the delivery room. I was very uncomfortable
with chiropractic back then. So I definitely was nervous about it. But
now that I go here-I'm fine.
When I first got my x-rays taken my neck curve
was the shape of an "S" and
my bones were fusing together. With 35mm of Forward Head
Posture and now 16mm of Forward Head Posture I think that the
x-rays show a very positive difference. My posture is even improving. I
do notice that when I miss I can tell a difference in how body feels. As
for the allergies I was enduring, on a scale from 1 to 10 (when in the
beginning I would have said it was a 9) my allergies are a 3. And as unusual
as it may sound, my head doesn't feel as heavy.
The girls here are wonderful
and this place is like family...
