Dr. Loren Bassett in Roseburg, Oregon
I have had a rough time since birth. I was allergic to milk, had colic,
and I had to wear leg braces. I was born breech literally
folded in half during the birthing process. I have also experienced horrible
headaches, neck pain, back pain, sinus and allergy problems and stomach
problems. By the age of 34 I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, irritable
bowel syndrome, depression, anxiety, gastritis, H-Pilori, fibromyalgia,
ovarian cysts, endometriosis, asthma, chronic allergies, low back scoliosis,
plantar facitis, sleeplessness, numbness in extremities and
carpal tunnel. I was placed on antibiotics monthly along with medication
for anxiety, cholesterol, insulin, sleeping medication, inhalers, allergy
medication, allergy injections, ace inhibitor, estrogen, and a medication
used to numb the nerve endings in my stomach. I felt 20-30 years older
then my actual age. The kicker was when I was being diagnosed with fibromyalgia.
I couldn't believe it.
I struggled each day to get out of
bed. I hurt all the time. I couldn't stand to have my own child sitting
on my lap. I couldn't stand putting on makeup or doing my hair because
of the numbness and pain in my arms. I was a medical mess and each year
or so I was needing another surgery. I met Dr. Bassett at a business
fair in October 2005. I started care after seeing the many problems with
my neck and back. I have to say that I am off all medication except the
insulin for the diabetes and most of my symptoms for the major diagnosis'
is gone. I am thankful each day to be able to wake up and not be in pain.
Dr. Bassett has changed my life for the better and I will be forever
thankful to him.
